Shoshannah works holistically with mind, body, nervous system, and relationships—addressing root causes, not just symptoms.

Expertise in Complex
& Chronic Patterns

Specialises in anxiety, trauma, chronic health issues, nervous system sensitivity, and family/relationship dynamics—especially when standard methods haven’t worked.

Integrated,
Lasting Change

Combines therapy, mindscaping, genetics, and natural medicine to create lasting transformation, focusing on prevention, resilience, and deep understanding—not quick fixes.

Love is not just something we feel. It is something our nervous system allows. For many people, especially those with insecure or disorganised attachment, love has been associated with fear, loss of self, unpredictability or emotional pain. As a result, relationships can feel confusing, intense or destabilising, even when there is genuine care and desire for connection. The Love aspect of my work focuses on untangling these patterns and rebuilding the capacity for safe, grounded and reciprocal connection.

When attachment wounds are present, relationships often activate survival responses rather than intimacy. Some people fear abandonment and become hypervigilant, overgiving or self-erasing. Others fear engulfment and withdraw, shut down or emotionally distance themselves. Many oscillate between the two. These patterns are not conscious choices. They are learned responses shaped by early relational experiences and reinforced by later stress and trauma.

In this work, we explore how your attachment system operates in real time. We look at what closeness activates in your body, what distance triggers emotionally, and how your system learned to protect itself in relationships. Rather than pathologising these responses, we treat them as meaningful information. When understood and worked with carefully, they become gateways to healing rather than sources of shame.

A noticeable part of this process is learning relational safety and repair. Many people never learned how to stay connected during disagreement, emotional intensity or vulnerability. They learned rupture, withdrawal, compliance or emotional escalation instead. I support clients in developing the skills and internal safety needed to communicate needs, tolerate intimacy, hold boundaries, and repair ruptures without collapsing or cutting off. These experiences gradually rewire the attachment system.

Love is also deeply influenced by physiology. Chronic stress, trauma history, hormonal imbalance, gut inflammation and genetic sensitivities can all bias the brain towards threat, mistrust or emotional reactivity. Through integrative testing and personalised support, I help reduce the biological load that keeps the nervous system on high alert, allowing connection to feel safer and more sustainable.

Where appropriate, homeopathy may also support relational healing by addressing deep emotional patterns and internal conflict that words alone cannot always reach. Used alongside therapeutic work, it can help soften long-held defences and support integration at a whole-person level.

As relational healing progresses, love begins to feel different. Less urgent. Less consuming. Less frightening. Clients often report feeling more present in relationships, less reactive, more discerning in partner choice, and more able to stay connected to themselves while being close to others. Love becomes something that supports growth rather than threatening it.

This work is for those who want more than insight into their patterns. It is for those who want to feel safer in connection, clearer in themselves, and capable of relationships that are nourishing rather than destabilising. Love can heal when the system that holds it is supported.

About Shoshannah

Hi, my name is Shoshannah Phoenix. I work with individuals, couples, and families, especially where things feel complicated, tangled, or hard to make sense of.

My work uniquely blends talking therapy, my own mindscaping, functional medicine, cutting edge genetic testing, and natural holistic solutions to whatever ails you. I help people understand how their nervous system, body, thoughts, emotions, and relationships are connected - and how these patterns shape health, behaviour, and connection over time.

Many of the people I work with have complex or long-standing challenges. They may be living with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, OCD, trauma, chronic stress, complex health issues, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, or patterns that seem to repeat across generations. Rather than looking at one piece in isolation, I work with the whole picture.

This is gentle, collaborative work. We move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, working with your system rather than pushing it. Whether we are working one-to-one or with couples and families, my role is to help you understand yourself more clearly, feel more regulated and supported, and find a way forward that truly fits you.

I am right here… how can I help you?
